‘The Hunger Games’ Box Office Sales In Singapore Is No. 1 In Asian Territories

We know that ‘The Hunger Games’ is topping North American box office sales but how well is it doing in Singapore?

F*** Magazine reports according to press release from Cathay-Keris Films, grossing for ‘The Hunger Games’ movie in Singapore box office sales is out performing other Asian territories.

According to the press release by Cathay-Keris Films, the Jennifer Lawrence starrer has collected over S$4 million in its first 3 weeks. This impressive box office result puts Singapore as the best performing Asian territory in terms of print average.

Locally, the movie has outshined the likes of popular film franchise, Twilight. The highest grossing title in the Twilight movie series in Singapore is The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which closed at S$3.07 million gross after a 7-week run in the local cinemas.

In the United States, The Hunger Games has been maintaining a firm foothold over its #1 spot on the box office for three consecutive weeks, bringing in a worldwide taking of US$460 million.

‘The Hunger Games’ Tops USA Today’s Best Selling Books List For 2 Consecutive Weeks

Remember we had reported that ‘The Hunger Games’ has topped USA Today’s Best Selling Books list for the very first time?

We are please to say that ‘The Hunger Games’ has managed to hold the Number 1 position for the two consecutive weeks!

Besides that, ‘Catching Fire’ has also made quite a jump from Number 7 last week to Number 2 this week. ‘Mockingjay’ has also shifted up from Number 8 last week to Number 4 this week.

Judging by the positions, it appears more and more people are reading not only ‘The Hunger Games’ but also are compelled to read the whole trilogy.

We certainly hope more people will read it with more exposure and promotions for ‘The Hunger Games’ going on as we get nearer and nearer to the release of ‘The Hunger Games’ movie!

‘The Hunger Games’ Tops USA Today’s Best Selling Book List For The 1st Time

Looks like the movie hype for ‘The Hunger Games’ is certainly helping to sell ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy well for ‘The Hunger Games’, with its previous peak of No. 2 on 29 September 2011, has topped USA Today’s Best Selling Book List for the first time for the week of December 29, 2011.

‘The Hunger Games’ sequels were also doing pretty good on the list with ‘Catching Fire’ at No. 7 and ‘Mockingjay’ at No. 8 while the boxed set is placed at No. 27.
