The Hunger Games trilogy has beaten the Harry Potter series to the top as the best selling book series in Amazon!

It is absolutely fascinating to note that the trilogy has surpassed the seven-book series in terms of sales in Amazon, inclusive of prints and ebooks on Kindle. This marks the great success of the trilogy!

RIAA has annoucned “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” was certified gold on 27 April 2012 in USA!

…Universal Republic soundtrack to popular post-apocalyptic film “The Hunger Games” each sold more than 500,000 copies to earn timely golden awards in April.

It is incredibly hard to sell albums these days, especially with piracy going on, it’s certainly great to see “The Hunger Games” soundtrack does well in such hard times! Besides that, the collection of music in “The Hunger Games” soundtrack are the mainstream music many listen and it’s yet another feat it has managed to achieve to be able to be certified gold.

Universal Music Singapore: “The Hunger Games” Soundtrack And Score Will Be Available In Late March

We have just received news from Universal Music Singapore Twitter on when “The Hunger Games” soundtrack and scores will be released in Singapore!

We are sure many of you will be pleased with this piece of news for both will be available in Singapore pretty soon.

The best news is of course it will be available in neighbourhood stores such as CD-RAMA and we certainly can’t wait to get our hands on it!

Amazon: Information For “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” Deluxe Edition

We had previously reported that Amazon has listed a limited deluxe edition of “The Hunger Games” movie soundtrack, “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond”, is available for pre-order at US$19.89 (around S$24.9596). This is pricier than the album that is listed on iTunes which is priced at US$11.99 (around S$15.0467).

Many thanks to Will, we now know what makes “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” limited deluxe edition different from the normal edition.

Amazon has stated “Deluxe Edition includes a 24 panel poster (approx 15 x 20)and limited edition trading cards featuring images of characters from The Hunger Games film.”

Jennifer Lawrence Promotes ‘The Hunger Games’ On Amazon

Video of Jennifer Lawrence promoting “The Hunger Games” movie on Amazon was found placed strategically on “The Hunger Games” movie tie-in books on Amazon.

While the video was not made embeddable on Amazon, a YouTube user had managed to record it and upload it onto YouTube.

SPOTTED: “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” Deluxe Edition On Amazon

Amazon has listed a limited deluxe edition of “The Hunger Games” movie soundtrack, “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond”, is available for pre-order at US$18.04. This is pricier than the album that is listed on iTunes which is priced at US$11.99.

There are no additional information about this limited deluxe edition yet regarding to the additional content it offers.

“The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” will be released on 20 March 2012 while “The Hunger Games'” will be released in Singapore on 22 March 2012.

Suzanne Collins Might Not Be Involved In Writing Process For ‘The Hunger Games’ Companion Books

It was announced that Scholastic will release ‘The Hunger Games’ companion books and we had previously reported about it when 3 of the covers for aforementioned companion books were revealed.

As information for the companion books was not posted previously, many wondered of ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy author, Suzanne Collins, will be participating in the writing process for the content of the books. Authors for these companion books are finally posted on Scholastic, Amazon and BookWeb Singapore by Books Kinokuniya.

“The Hunger Games Tribute Guide” listed Emily Seife as the author. According to BookWeb Singapore, “The Hunger Games Tribute Guide” is available for pre-order and is priced at S$13.70.

Emily Seife is an associate editor at Scholastic according to The Hob. However it appears that Emily Seife joined Scholastic in 2011 so it is currently uncertain if she was involved in production process for ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy.

Meanwhile, Kate Egan is listed as the author for both “The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Movie Companion” (pictured below) and “The World of The Hunger Games” (cover not yet released) on BookWeb Singapore.

“The Hunger Games” movie tie-in novel, “The Hunger Games Tribute Guide” and “The Hunger Games: Official Illustrated Movie Companion” will hit bookstores on February 7, 2012. “The World of The Hunger Games” which the cover is not shown here will be released on March 23, 2012 which is on the same day as the USA release date for “The Hunger Games” movie.
