‘The Hunger Games’ Tops USA Today’s Best Selling Book List For The 1st Time
Looks like the movie hype for ‘The Hunger Games’ is certainly helping to sell ‘The Hunger Games’ trilogy well for ‘The Hunger Games’, with its previous peak of No. 2 on 29 September 2011, has topped USA Today’s Best Selling Book List for the first time for the week of December 29, 2011.
Here’s what Scholastic’s Ellie Berge has to say:
“As strongly as The Hunger Games trilogy has been selling all year, it’s been amazing to see how many new readers continue to discover the books every day through word-of-mouth recommendations, holiday gifts, and the incredible buzz for the upcoming movie,” says Scholastic’s Ellie Berge
‘The Hunger Games’ sequels were also doing pretty good on the list with ‘Catching Fire’ at No. 7 and ‘Mockingjay’ at No. 8 while the boxed set is placed at No. 27.
District 3′s male tribute, Ian Nelson, had tweeted a picture of ‘The Hunger Games’ being No. 1 on USA Today’s Best Selling List.
Congratulations to Suzanne Collins!
