“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” Begins Production And Stand A Chance To Win A Visit To Set!
With “The Hunger Games” grossing nearly US$700 million (around S$860,546,211) in box office worldwide, Lionsgate announced the highly anticipated sequel, titled “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” started the principal photography on September 10, 2012 (US time) in their press release.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be shooting “primarily in existing locations in and near Atlanta, Georgia,” as well as “in the beaches and jungles of Hawaii before wrapping in late December, 2012.“
According to the press release, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” will be released worldwide on 22 November 2013 with returning cast such as Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy), Elizabeth Banks (Effie Trinket), Lenny Kravitz (Cinna), Stanley Tucci (Caesar Flickerman), Donald Sutherland (President Coriolanus Snow), as well as new additions which includes Philip Seymour Hoffman (Plutarch Heavensbee) and Jeffrey Wright (Beetee).
Lionsgate has also expressed their excitement for the start of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”‘s principal photography:

That is not all. To celebrate this occasion, Lionsgate also launched a sweepstake in 10 different territories which entitles 12 lucky fans to not only be able to visit the set of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” but also to get a chance to interact with the film’s cast.

OFFICIAL: Jeffrey Wright Is District 3′s Beetee In “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”
After Sam Claflin was announced as Finnick Odair In “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, fans were left with a long drought with no news.
Thankfully, today proved to be the end for Jeffrey Wright was just announced by Lionsgate that he is cast as District 3 and previous Hunger Games Victor named Beetee (also known as “Volts”). Beetee “Volts” is good friends with Wiress “Nuts” (Amanda Plummer) who is also from District 3 and a previous Hunger Games victor.

RUMOUR: Finnick casted, with Mags and Beetee top choices?
Well well, seems like this is a busy week for Lionsgate and tributes!
With the news of Wiress casting being announced yesterday, news of Finnick being casted has surfaced today.
As reported on Zap2It, Sam Claflin has been offered the role of Finnick. However, this has not been announced by Lionsgate officially. Could this be yet another rumour, or has the hunt for one of the most coveted role ended?
Sam Claflin acting in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Meanwhile, according to Variety, Melissa Leo is close to getting the role of Mags, and Tony Shalhoub might be getting Beetee.
